Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 July 2026
The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Harol Antibar, the operator of IELTS Writing Simulator. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What the service is — and is not
IELTS Writing Simulator is a practice tool: you answer platform-supplied IELTS-style writing tasks and receive automated feedback, including an estimated band score, generated by automated language analysis.
IELTS is a registered trademark of the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge University Press & Assessment. IELTS Writing Simulator is an independent practice tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by these organisations. Band scores are practice estimates and may differ from official IELTS results.
Scores here are designed to be honest practice estimates. They are not official IELTS results, and no score on this platform predicts or guarantees any result in a real examination.
Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.
- Provide accurate registration details and keep your password safe — you are responsible for activity on your account.
- One account per person; accounts are personal and non-transferable.
The free plan
The free plan includes a limited number of essay evaluations per calendar month (currently three) with band scores. The allowance resets monthly and unused evaluations do not roll over. We may adjust the free allowance; if we reduce it we will say so before it affects you.
Premium subscription
- Premium is a monthly subscription billed through Stripe at the price shown at checkout. It renews automatically each month until canceled.
- You can cancel anytime via the customer portal (Account → Manage subscription). You keep premium access until the end of the period you have paid for; there are no partial or pro-rated refunds for the remainder of a billing period.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law — statutory guarantees and remedies apply regardless.
- "Unlimited" premium evaluations are subject to a generous monthly fair-use ceiling that exists to prevent automated abuse; no realistic personal use reaches it.
- If the subscription price changes, the new price applies from your next billing period and we will notify you in advance.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service unlawfully, or submit content that is illegal or that you have no right to submit;
- probe, overload, scrape, or attempt to bypass the service's security, rate limits, or usage quotas (including creating accounts in bulk);
- attempt to manipulate the automated evaluation — for example by embedding instructions to the analysis system inside an essay;
- resell or white-label the service without a written agreement.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
Your content
Your essays are yours. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the service: storing your writing and processing it (including via our analysis provider) to produce your evaluations, tips, and exercises. We do not publish your essays and do not use them to train AI models without your explicit, revocable consent — see the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it accurate and online, but we do not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that automated feedback is free of mistakes — automated analysis can be wrong. Do not rely on it as your sole preparation resource for a high-stakes exam.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Termination
You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time via the Support page. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms; where reasonable we will warn you first.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on the site before they take effect; the date above always reflects the current version.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Questions about them: see the Support page.
